Glucose tablets are chewable. Simply chew and swallow.

The ADA recommends that a person take 15g of carbohydrates if there is a lowering in blood sugar. Since Dex4 glucose tablets each contain 4 grams of carbohydrates it is recommended that you take 3-4 tablets. This amount should be adjusted according to your age and body weight. Please consult with your healthcare team to determine the best serving size for you. If your blood sugar level is 50mg/dL or less, increase the dose to 20g. If after 15 minutes, the levels don't balance out, repeat the process.

If you take the recommended 4 tablets it usually takes about 15 minutes; however your age and body weight will determine how fast they begin to work. Please note that your symptoms will not immediately disappear. Be sure to test your blood sugar after 15 minutes. If your blood sugar levels don’t balance out then repeat the dosage and re-check after 15 minutes.

Dex4 glucose tablets contain no fat, sodium or caffeine. Besides being the fastest at raising low blood sugars, this is another great reason to keep Dex4 glucose tablets on hand so that you do not reach for calorie and fat loaded products such as candy bars or candy.

The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) tests have proven Dex4 products to be gluten free.

Asorbic acid is added for binding purposes to improve the consistency of the product.

Dex4 glucose tablets are available in economy size bottles of 50 and convenient tubes of 10.

There are 15 calories in each tablet. If you ingest the recommended 4 tablets you will consume 60 calories.

Spots are usually due to moisture. Even if the color changes, they are still safe to eat. Always make sure to store the tablets with the cap tightly closed.
