TEAM TYPE 1

Dex4 Fast-Acting Glucose is a a proud sponsor of Team Type 1.
Team Type 1 was created in 2004 to inspire people living with diabetes to take a proactive approach to managing their health and overcoming the obstacles often associated with the condition. In 2006 and 2007, the squad won the eight-rider team division of Race Across America and finished runner-up in 2008 while consisting soley of athletes who have Type 1 diabetes.

Team Type 1 also fields a 15-rider professional continental cycling team, of which four racers have Type 1 diabetes. The squad won the team classification at the Tour de Beauce International stage race and finished third at the Tour de Georgia presented by AT&T, one of the most significant races in the United States.

During the 2008 Summer Season, Dex4 is proud to be a sponsor of Tour Now + Then, who's main mission is to teach and inspire youths living with diabetes through their artistic performances. Noah and Zan Moore, along with other TNT artists, will be traveling to 26 diabetes events across 25 states. DOUG BURNS

On behalf of Dex4 Fast-Acting Glucose Products, Doug Burns will make guest appearances to educate about exercise and hypoglycemia for people living with diabetes. Doug Burns has won Mr. USA, Mr. California and Mr. Southern States. He is the winner of Six Powerlifting Championships and an American record holding strength athlete but he's also struggled with diabetes since the age of 7.
